Happy Sunday!
What a beautiful weekend!
I hope you all enjoyed it. Got outside. And did something fun. Maybe even got some exercise in!
Many of you know my family and I hosted a golf tournament this weekend in honor of my dad.
I don't think it could have gone ANY BETTER.
From the weather being PERFECT to start the day off to everyone who came and enjoyed all we had to offer. It was truly an unforgettable and amazing day and I couldn't be more happy with how it turned out!
I'm sure my dad was enjoying it from somewhere watching us having fun, sharing some laughs and reminiscing about all of the stories we could think of. It was a day filled with so many emotions but I'm so happy for the way it all turned out.
It was well worth it.
Especially for it being
the first year!
I've never ran a golf tournament. Heck, I just started really golfing 2 years ago.
Many of you know I always try to bring things full circle.
If you set your mind to something - you can do
it. Really. Even when you have never even attempted something like it before. Just start. Just try. Just start trying to figure it out and you will.
I had no idea what I was doing when the idea came up to have a golf tournament for my
Dad. I've never even played in something like this never mind run one. But I just started to figure it out. I asked people. I looked stuff up. I got help. And I totally messed some things up along the way! But thats okay...because I learned what to do and what not to do. And in the end, the day was amazing and everyone had so much fun!
Are there things we are going to change? Sure! Are there many things we are going to keep going into next year? Hell yeah! The point is to try to make something like this better each year. Learn. Get better. And better. And you can do that with anything in life. Try to make yourself better. Get better at something. Host something like this. (It's a lot of
fricken work..haha!) But just keep trying to better yourself at things in life and chances are..you'll land in a pretty good spot!
Oh yeah...we raised $3,000 thats going to be donated to Save A Dog in Sudbury, MA to
help with some surgeries for a few of the dogs there. You are all amazing who came out!
Have a great night!
