There are soooo many workout plans out there.
Soooo many different ways to train.
So what do you do?!
You find something that works for you and that you can sustain and you keep doing that for as long as you can😁👍🏻.
Here's what I do to give you an idea:
Each day I make it a
point to hit 10,000 steps. It's a good metric to go by because it means you probably got some good movement in and thats what we need in life.
Each week I try to run 1 mile a few times. Nothing fancy, nothing crazy.
Sometimes I try to beat my previous time, sometimes I just coast. The point is to get my heart rate up and make sure I can run 1 mile in a decent time.
Each week I lift weights 4x per week - 2 upper body days and 2
lower body days. No more, no less...just 4 solid days.
Each week I do 1-2 HIIT workouts. True high intensity is power & explosive stuff that really jacks your heart rate up. I do that at least 1x per week and sometimes
twice if I'm feeling it. It's really good to jack your heart rate up really high a few times per week. I get that with lifting heavy things but also with high intensity workouts.
Each week I either play golf, hit golf balls,
play pickleball or practice pickleball 1-3x. These are my outlets. These things bring me joy but are also physical things that you can do with your body. The reason I workout and take care of my body is so I can do fun things like golf and pickleball....for the rest of my life.
And each week I eat healthy 80% of the time.
So...that's what my weeks look like.
Nothing fancy. Nothing crazy. Nothing out of the ordinary.
I'm just a dude
whose really consistent and has been really consistent for a long, long time. I do stuff that works for me. Yeah I'm a personal trainer and work in a gym so it makes it a little easier.
But I have plenty of
clients who have found their groove and what works for them week in and week out. Thats why they succeed.
