Happy Sunday!
And Happy New Year!
I'm not going to spam you with B3 challenges, workouts, nutrition protocols or fancy new healthy things to do in the new year.
You all KNOW what to do. Everyone with a brain and some common sense knows we need to eat healthy and move our bodies.
The problem is that most of you don't do it.
Many of you like the idea of being healthy. But you fail to do it.
So I want you to write down one habit. One thing that you realllllly, realllllly struggled with this year. Put it in sight every day that you wake up. It could be a little sticky note on your bathroom mirror. It could be a reminder you set for yourself that
goes off every day at a certain time. It could be a note you leave in your car. Just something.
Every single year there are endless quacks spouting the new thing to do this year. We have a lot of research showing that most of us
don't need new things. We need to do the basics. Year after year after year. Thats what's sustainable.
So that one little habit you right down needs to be basic. If it's too daunting, you'll
fail to do it. Just like you do every year. Really...you will.
So set something that is realistic. Then once you accomplish that nice little habit - you'll feel so proud of yourself and hopefully tackle another one! That could
bleed into the rest of your life - then once the end of the year comes, you've built so many of these great habits, you've now become an entirely different person! Would ya look at that!
Here are a few of the things I'm working on
this year. Not habits, just some things I personally want to do:
- Read more of the fitness books I have stacked up in my office.
- Do different varieties of cardio to keep it interesting.
- Improve my golf game.
And I will do all of those. I'm a very driven person. I like to accomplish tasks. Thats what drives me. Thats what keeps me really happy. When I finish tasks, it's a real good feeling. That's why I really enjoy life.
And you should too. Tackle some habits this year. The "You" next year at this time will thank YOU 😉.
Have a great day.
