Happy Sunday!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from
B3🎅🏻🎄🥳!
I hope you all had a wonderful year.
I hope you all hit some of your goals this year.
But if you didn't, here's another way to look at it.
So many people set up goals. I think goals are good for some and harmful for others. Some people are very goal oriented. They like to hit landmarks throughout the year and thats what drives them. Other people set goals but those goals are too daunting. They never get there and then continue to spin their
wheels and feel bad about themselves for not hitting goals.
So instead of goals this year, I want you to think about habits. Habits change your body day to day. Habits train your mind to do something
different. Habits are where the real changes happens with health and fitness.
Most of my clients succeed because they change their habits...not because they keep hitting goal after goal. Habit change is whats
necessary for longterm success with all of this stuff.
Here's a list of habits to focus on this year. Pick one...do that for a month so you are so consistent with it. Then move to the next.
- Eating more protein at breakfast.
- Drinking a glass of water right when you wake up.
- Start the day with a 10min walk.
- Don't watch that second Netflix episode, go to sleep.
- Change up your meals with different colors on your plate.
- Read a book instead of snacking.
- Pick up a hobby that involves movement.
- Etc. Etc. Etc.
There are so many great habits you can pick up that will improve your life. Just start with one. Nail it down.
Like really nail it down like other stuff you do each day. Then move to the next. Watch your body, mind and life improve.
Focus on these 4 steps when it comes to habits:
1️⃣ Simplify your life -
be realistic and set tangible habits you can succeed with - write them down and keep them somewhere in eyesight.
2️⃣ Follow a structured program that aligns with what you can accomplish. Stop guessing, stop being unrealistic, start progressing.
3️⃣ Track your progress - It's really, really hard to know if you're making progress or not if you're not monitoring
and tracking your progress. Some people need to do it briefly, some need to do it forever. Do what works for you.
4️⃣ Stay accountable - Ask a friend to be your accountability buddy, or join a supportive community....or, ya know..higher a personal trainer 😉!
Just start somewhere.
As always, ask me anything you need!
