The top image is of a healthy 40 year old. There is a lot of "dark stuff" aka muscle, which is GOOD. Our body functions better with more muscle on it. Now, if we look a the middle picture...thats
NOT GOOD. This is what your leg muscles (and all the other muscles in your body) will look like if you do not exercise, strength train and intake protein. There is A LOT more white stuff than dark stuff...again, NOT GOOD. The white stuff is all fat, gross, adipose tissue that doesn't do much for our body. We can also see that our bone is not as dense as the top picture as well - also NOT GOOD. That will lead to osteopenia,
osteoporosis and broken bones in the future.
The bottom image is of a healthy 70-year old who works out. Looks pretty similar to the very top picture, eh? That's because YOU CAN BUILD MUSCLE into your 70's and 80's. Just look at
the picture. Just ask my friend Tom Myers. His quads look more like the top and bottom pictures than the middle picture. This is because Tom actively strength trains. Tom works out. Tom puts stress on his bones so they remain strong. Tom intakes his body weight in protein. Be like Tom. Be strong. Don't be weak. Be like the top and bottom pictures. Not the middle one.
Keep looking at those images. What do you want your body to look like? A frail, shriveled up ball of fat? Or a muscular, dense person who can conquer the effing world at any age?
I'll be strong as hell until the day I die. You can too. Have a spectacular day.
