A little back story about Tom....
Tom was never big into working out throughout his life. He worked...A LOT...and still does actually! He never cared about the gym or lifting weights until he was in his later years in life. When we first met, he always stated he didn't want to look like an old man with no butt, a big pot belly, head forward posture and rounded shoulders. He didn't want to look "old" by today's standard and
knew that lifting weights and eating healthy would get him there.
Tom takes ALL of my advice...for the most part. He is 75 years old and some of you that have met Tom will agree that Tom does not look like a traditional 75 year old.
It breaks my heart that I do not train him anymore but he happily strength trains multiple times per week down in Florida (which makes me happy as well). He eats a ton of protein, gets his steps in, rarely drinks alcohol, manages his sleep and still keeps himself sharp by working to this day. Tom does everything I do and thats why Tom looks the way he does, is as strong as he is and (you'll love this) takes ZERO prescription drugs. Find some 75 year olds who
don't take any drugs....I'll wait...
He understands the process of strength training and boy does he acknowledge the benefits. He always texts me little things like the picture above about life stuff, how strength training has helped him and how I
have helped him. It's the best thing in the world as a trainer to receive texts like that. Sure its cool to lift a ton of weight in the gym, strive to get abs (if thats your goal) or whatever other fitness milestone you are shooting for....but the real flex is up above...being the only person in 55+ communities who can do push ups, still playing pickball at 70+ years old, getting up and down off the floor with your grandkids at 80+ years old.
Don't sell yourself short. Don't think your life is over in your 50's or 60's. Stop thinking your old in your 40's. If you have basic health problems, you can change those around with lifting weights and eating healthier. YOU CAN DO THIS. Get a little positivity in your
life and be like Tom...a strong, bad ass man who is going to live the next 20 years of his life on HIS terms💪🏻🤘🏻.
