Happy Spring!
Nice weather is indeed upon us this week here in
Massachusetts -what a great time of year.
It's also a great time of year to do some outdoor activities that we've missed out on during the winter months. I know I've definitely missed playing some outdoor pickle ball, so I can't wait to get back to
that! I'm also going to try to golf more this year - watching The Master's this weekend has me itching to get better at it!
So...movement is key, right? You all hear me preach about it. You all KNOW you should be moving your
bodies each day. So if you aren't or you are struggling with it, maybe this spring is a great opportunity to try something new. Try a new sport you've never played before, take lessons for something that intrigues you, join a friends adult basketball or hockey league that you've known about for a few years, heck start a walking club in your neighborhood! Whatever it is, the underlying goal is to get movement...but if you're having fun while getting that movement, it just makes it
THAT much better and THAT much more sustainable.
Here's a list of activities that you could try out this spring. This list is what some of my other clients use for activities and movement outside of their
sessions with me:
- Golf, pickleball, tennis, padel + country club leagues
- Karate, jiu-jitsu, Krav Maga, kickboxing or boxing
- Hockey + basketball adult leagues
- Running + walking groups
- Swimming + outdoor cycling
- Doing things with
your kids
- Tons of more options, just move yo' body!
Get outdoors. Maybe try something new. Get some damn movement and have fun! Your body will thank you for it, trust
me😉.
