I've been saying this a lot lately.."I don't make the rules"... and it's because it's so true.
When I recommend to eat 1g of protein per body weight, its because at some point in time when we were created, the rules for our body say 'in
order to build muscle, we need to eat enough protein to do so'. I didn't make that rule. Neither did any Dr. or your best friend Sally or the person you follow on the internet. There are specific "rules" our body needs to follow in order to run properly. I just try to inform you of them all and implement them the best way I know how.
We need sunlight, we need amino acids, we need fats and omegas for our organs, we need micronutritnes
from vegetables...all of these 'rules' were put in place thousands of years ago when something, somewhere created us. Think about it next time your friend tells you to try a "new diet". Think....did that exist thousands of years ago and does my body really need that or need that to operate?
